You know the Spanish flu is not 100% but widely seen as being started in a military base in Kansas?

The government plan was never to try and stop it. They were well aware that everyone is going to be exposed sooner or later. The idea was to have it hit in waves so it was manageable. I'm of the opinion that 90% of politicians are clueless fucktards, but Trump and Co. handled this the only way possible without a lot worse effects. I'm a bit surprised, actually.
On the plus side, global warming won't be an issue for a while. Oil will be as cheap as a Tijuana hooker for a long, long time. Storage is at capacity, which is why the price fell into the negatives. Better to give away oil to the little guys in order to make room to pump more (in their eyes). However, oil prices below $30 a barrel has historically been a bad thing, and this is going to be a gigantic problem. The Middle East, Venezuela, Russia, and the U.S. are going to be hammered financially, just to name a few. Financial devastation often leads to war..........

It is worth clicking on the documents, as they have some examples of how early players would misconstrue the rules (e.g. if you are a novice player, don't volunteer to be the DM).

Some of my longer-term projects should be coming out soon-ish - though with all of this nonsense going around, everything seems to be getting delayed.

But I am going to try to do some more blog posts, I do have a whole bunch of smaller subjects I could cover there. And to post more about dice, because there's just a ton to say about dice.

Newspapers were free to report the epidemic's effects in neutral Spain, such as the grave illness of King Alfonso XIII, and these stories created a false impression of Spain as especially hard hit. This gave rise to the name Spanish flu. Historical and epidemiological data are inadequate to identify with certainty the pandemic's geographic origin, with varying views as to its location.

Even if you were to believe everything that you read in Wikipedia, it’s still apples and oranges.

So, with a bit of time on my hands, I'm fussing with my collection these days. I'm still working through the A's and today here's what I think I read...

AEG's Legend of the Five Rings got in trouble in the late 90s with the Olympics (!) because their CCG card backs had, well, five rings. Five interlocking rings is an IOC trademark. The only solution was to stop using the design. But changing the card backs meant effectively 'marking' new cards and making existing sets unusable.

Wizards shipped their next set with a new design and sleeves that obscured the card backs. I can't believe it's as simple as that as why we've had opaque card holders since.

I know we're not a review site, just sharing...

I'm playing with AEG tonight. I picked up a book at random. AEG L5R Shadowlands. No one's looked at this book for 20 years. Just me and this rpg. Hmm, what's this game all about... crack the spine, take a look. I want to go back you crinkly hardback...

Then this mess met my eyes. The whole book is in this font. They used this this license for like 20 years? After this mess?

How can you abuse your customers like this? Good grief. Somewhere an angel is crying
