I don't think it was a 24 hour auction? It says duration 7 days, but it does look like there were no bids until the last 24 hours (which is also when I started watching it) so maybe you're right?

I can't figure out why the auction says 7 days. I am 100% certain it was listed on June 2nd.

Maybe it was a 7 day auction with an incorrect description and/or title.  Once the seller realized this, the seller fixed the error without restarting the whole auction.

I can sorta confirm this. It popped up in my Acaeum twitter feed and I started watching it immediately, with 25 hours to go until the finish. But considering that standard Ebay auctions aren't 25 hours (and it said "1 day 1 hour" when I started watching it, not "23 hours 53 minutes" like you'd expect with a 1 day auction), it does seem very possible that it was running longer but was corrected with just over a day to go, thus triggering the Acaeum notification. You might be right Skullhammer!

It's also possible dbartman posted it manually to Auction Hunter at that time (he and I have that ability).  He'd need to confirm if he did so; I did not.

It was definitely a 7 day auction, however it may have appeared to be only one day due to the fact that the seller made some significant changes changes to it at almost 10pm EST(7 pm PST) on June 2nd, that caused it to appear:

I'm wondering if the seller just had it as a some sort of place holder auction and then updated late in the day on June 2nd, which while it technically was a 7 day auction, effective relegated it to a 1 day auction.  Regardless, if does not have appeared to affected the final total by too much, even with the much shorter window of visibility.

Certainly a possibility. I had noted at least one seller doing that in the last few weeks. Don't know if it was this seller, though.

Oh yeah, that explains it!  When I was bidding on that Orange B3 (I was the winning bidder) I noticed the majority of his other auctions were just placeholders (generic pictures and title like 'Item #110'.

For whatever reason he must have listed a ton of placeholder auctions, and then added the actual info 24 hours before the end.

Which kind of leads us back to your original statement on it, doesn't it? Since the seller effectively made it a 1 day auction. Congrats on the win though! Let us know how it looks when you get it.

I don't think it was a one day auction.  As mentioned, the seller placed a bunch of placeholder auctions, probably to take advantage of some promotion they received from eBay, then went back and updated the listings to include the details of the specific auction item being sold.  In this case, I'm pretty sure I came across this auction at least 2-3 days before the completion date.  At the time I thought it had one bid, probably for the initial amount of $100.  It looks like there are some bids missing since the first one listed is $136.09.  Not sure why the timeline is listed as it is, but who knows.  The seller is fortunate that there are some very fervent searchers out there because it did not go undetected by the collecting community for long.

I didn't manually add it to the auction hunter, and I'm surprised it didn't show up.  It did show up in the completed auctions though.  Will have to check the criteria for the Auction Hunter bot to see if there's something different in the search for active vs. completed auction items.

Auction Hunter did find it... after the seller changed the title from whatever it was originally.

Hmm.  I didn't see it in the list of "Class 4 & 5 Rares Currently on eBay" items.  Maybe I'm just missing it.

It has been a good bit and many or most may not remember me. Was looking for a price on something else and this caught my eye. Not sure how it is priced e wise having been out of the game for way too long!

This has been up for a while. I *was* considering emailing this person with an offer (prob not).
It isn't in the best of condition, but better than many recently, if the price was just a wee bit lower...
