I must admit - after I posted this I thought that might go a wee bit higher. The books were a bit rough but the box was (apparently) intact. ...

The downside of being a zero feedback seller and selling a rare item with issues (and who knows) with perhaps more unmentioned issues.

I definitely thought it would go higher too because of the Box.

I may not be the typical eBay Buyer but...

If a couple of sent messages went well with the seller, I wouldn't have sweated buying from him at all. Low feedback sellers can be a lot easier to deal with than experienced ones. Just from reading the description, it sounded like that seller would actually answer questions without a bunch of attitude and packaged it exactly how I wanted it.

There comes a time in every game book's life when the decision must be made to just let it die.

Not sure if there is enough to make the price worthwhile, but here is what I saw:

Pic #6 - Nice assortment on this shelf: Blue & Green Sourcebooks, Encyclopedia Magica(s), Spell Compendiums, Van Richten's Guides, and Volo's Guides

Pic #7 - Temple of Existential Evil along with a few other Hackmaster titles

Pic #8 - Temple of Elemental Evil (x2), In Search of Adventure (B1-9), and maybe the DL modules (midpoint on shelf)

Pic #9 - Gawds & Demi-Gawds, DCC: The Heroe's Arise and Saga of the Dragon Cult boxed sets, Master Rules and World of Greyhawk boxed sets as well

Pic #11 - Nothing great, but a couple hundred bucks worth of stuff on this shelf.

If you don't live near Racine, WI. and cannot drive there, shipping will kill you...

He should have started it at 2,000. That would have generated interest from a reseller...

Totally missed this one.  And, I live near Racine!  :(

Not the best condition.  But I also thought higher on this one.

Numbered copy of The Ghost Tower of Inverness:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

These rarely come up anymore.  Last two documented on The Acaeum sold for $4,645 and $3,025.  They were in Fine condition.  This one is in better condition.

Same seller that listed the Lost Tamoachan.  This copy is not listed on The Acaeum's list of numbered copies either.

I wish I saw that - I would have gotten it (or at least tried). Drat.

Is this what the seller is stating it is?

Not sure, no TSR copyright that I can see. May be true but someone could have made them for to sell at a small hobby shop or for their game group.

Available now from Die Cast Games: Night of the Black Swords by Allen Hammack (Author of C2-The Ghost Tower of Inverness) with artwork by Jeff Easley and Diesel.

Looks like something that was cobbled together from different pieces of standard character sheets.  Some of the sections are slightly angled, like they were taped together, then copied.  You can see cut lines and what looks like tape outlines on the pages.

I suspect they are "hobbyshop brew" sheets that were sold to local customers or used in-house.

I was thinking the same thing. Some lines even fade out.

Yes, I did some serious contemplation before I posted it here. It was a little bit of a painful decision and finally decided to not go for it, but knew someone here would.

The letter, the ads, and the maps, everything in that lot is pretty cool. Maybe most of all the maps.

The buyer of this lot scanned the letter and map and made it publicly available, posted here with permission to by the new owner
