Hey Mike, please make sure that Martin doesnt get a keycard and the password to the VIP room.  He will scare away the strippers anyway.  :P

Last family night before the con, taking the grandson to see Raiders of the Lost Ark on the big screen (local Movie Tavern has oldies on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the summer).  He's never seen any of the Indiana Jones movies, and I haven't seen this one in years (and not on the big screen since it's debut in 1981!).  What a great way to start the week!

Just make sure he only watches the first 3 and not the 4th Indiana Jones movie. The Crystal Skull isn't for appropriate for children(or anyone else) as Indy gets raped by Lucas and Spielberg.

Working on last minute stuff...

printer still having issues printing the Misty Isle... the single proof copy I ordered was perfect, the order for 100 has all the 9 center pages (maps) jacked up and not aligned from  right to left... in any case, just off the phone with them again, they are going to print the center 9 pages and ship them as a separate booklet to be inserted into the current jacked up prints.

So they won't be for sale until those arrive and if hey are jacked, no Misty Isles until I get them done correctly...

Anyway, working on other stuff not to mention the pregens for the Charity game I haven't finished yet... and I still have to mow the lawn in the AM, get the UHaul, pickup the scooter for Frank and get all the stuff at the warehouse on the way to the hotel !...

busy morning tomorrow...

and I got people emailing me telling me to look out for packages they shipped that are arriving Wed & Thur !!!! I won't be here on those days, I will already be at the Con !!!

Don't get me wrong....I mow my own lawn and I don't trust anyone else to do as good a job as I do.  But if I was as busy as you are I wouldnt have a problem paying someone $25 to come and mow the damn thing for me.

Don't worry, after we saw the movie (great on the big screen, btw) I told him there were TWO more Indy movies if he wanted to watch them, and talked about Temple of Doom and Last Crusade. Finally my wife interjected "Wasn't there another Indiana Jones movie just a few years ago?" and I said "No, not really." I'll keep him as far away from that as I do from the three Star Wars prequels, at least until he's old enough to vote.

Here at the hotel, a sudden summer rain is threatening to wash everything away.  But we got everything inside and we are setting up.  So far I've seen KingofPain, Nogrod, Smarmy, Cimmerian, Prufrock, Grodog, JohnGaunt, Gnat, and many more!  Maybe some late night gaming?  I'm going on adrenaline now.

We had a steady and sometimes hard rain all day yesterday (thankfully, AFTER we did most of set up, otherwise it would be been pretty ugly with wind and water blowing on Doug's rares).  The rain coupled with the construction around the hotel was awful.  But the worst part is the rain cancelled or delayed many flights into DFW, including Frank and Tim. When I went to bed last night they had not gotten here (neither had Blackmoor, for that matter), so I'm hoping after I went to bed they got here ok, just going downstairs to check.  Quite a change from the usual 100 degree heat we have this time of year, right now it's cloudy, rainy and gloomy, and the temps are actually bearable.

Howdy folks!

I just wanted to say that I'l be driving up to Dallas tomorrow and will be excited to see all of you (except my nemesis, Cimm). ;) I'll have a couple of first-timers with me, and we should be rolling in sometime in the afternoon. Fun times ahead! What I'm really looking forward to is continuing the limited edition dice bag art which Badmike has me create for his sweet grandson.

See you kiddies soon!

JB
