There isn't as much waste and fraud at the local levels of government, because there isn't that much to waste in the first place.

Also, it's not as much corruption per se, as it is politics. Furthremore, I'd say there's a difference between the two (short example here...):

The mayor of my town held a meeting of the Board of Trustees to act upon and as the Zoning Board of Appeals in a matter of re-zoning a particular business. It's the perogative of the Mayor to do so, and in doing so, he only needs a simple majority to approve the measure. If the Zoning Board of Appeals denined the request, the Mayor and the Board would have needed a 2/3rds vote to overturn the Zoning Board ruling.

Is the mayor friends with the gentlement involved in the rezoning? He was. Did he receive any favors in return for doing it? I don't belive so (other than a donation to his re-election campaign a few years later, but this guy has donated to him in the past).

This goes on everywhere. And, for the most part, it is just sop and things move on. But when one party is advantaged ove another, that is a real problem. Also, when those in authority look the other way, there is also a problem.

But greasing the wheels, per se, is more just the norm for some people. And in politics, small and large, it is pervasive.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

Although I don't know how trivia relates to IQ?

Kind of strange in that the only two questions I missed were regarding "drugs". I didnt know that methamphetamines were also called "Ice" and I didnt know that Carlsberg was brewed in Denmark. Maybe I need to get out more? :lol:

It took me a moment to realize that each question had a time limit. It thought the graphic was just there to add drama.

I simply clicked the wrong button on one of them.
