Alright, did someone make some backroom deal here on the massively padded character sheets?! It looks like it was ended early...

I was curiously watching that too. No clue as to why. Deleted it from my list when I didn't see a relist notice after half the day went by.

This link is to an item with zero bids on it. Did you mean to link another ebay auction?

I know there were 0 bids on it so far, but the auction end date I'm sure still had several days to go. The listing was just ended early.

About 3 days to go if I recall correctly.

Or a massive loss of brain cells due to sniffing too much plastic.    I think the third place bidder had it about right.

I was just thinking that was just the blue Holmes book that was sold separately.

I wonder, is it listed on one of those distributor purchase forms someone had up on Ebay recently?

Dec1977/Jan1978 basic book sold for $5 on the product list to early 1981 is the last time it is seen (at that's only due to the same product list in the Players handbook.)  So the Holmes set seems to be the only one that had the book sold separate.

These Dungeoneers Survival Guide and Wilderness Survival Guide books are de-shrinked ones that used to have the Wild Things or Dark & Hidden Ways included, right? The ISBN on the back has been X'd out.

That RC is in tough shape.  It looks like it might even be water damaged.  I'd personally stay away at that starting bid.

I know I've posted about them having a black mark..not sure if an 'X' or a line, but those would be the ones.

Does anything that can be faked that trivially really matter?

I was more curious since I've never really inspected one close up. I remember seeing them at Waldenbooks way back in the day for sale, but I wouldn't have taken note of those details.

I think you're right that no one in their right mind would think they could use a sharpie on any one of those books and think someone's going to plunk down $100 just for the possibility they can frankenstein it with the module.

I'd say you gotta be nutz to be buying either book with the marker on them without considering them 'With Cover Damage'. The only time I'd say you shouldn't consider this damaged is when it turns up either with in original shrink, or with it's wrap over paper cover and associated freebie.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

The ones I purchased in the 90s had X's over the UPCs.  I believe they were that way inside the shrink.
