Ahh, the reference to "original art" threw me...was thinking it was the "art" for the module.

I'm generally assuming everyone has seen this one. I did contact the seller to request they open it up for bids from the UK but they said they couldn't after it had started with a bid. Still, the seller seemed nice enough to deal with.

Another white box set, with an unusual box.

Looks like the face of the original was lifted and pasted to another box. At least the seller mentions the fact that it is not an original box, so I doubt anything shady is going on. Maybe a bit too pricey given the situation, though.

1/5/17 - Gaming community. I am putting this collection up for auction again. Let me explain. The first auction value was extremely high and caught me off guard. Upon the winning bid, I did a due diligence to ensure ALL the books were in said condition and to my horror, Volume 2 Monsters and treasures were missing pages 19-22(and I cannot find them .. remember they have been sitting in a basement cabinet for over 40 years). In all fairness, especially for the amount that was spent, it was fair for me to notify the winner of this flaw that I found during inspection and refund his offer. We both agreed that it would be the right thing to do by putting them up for auction again with the knowledge of this flaw. Please be aware that I have inspected all books thoroughly and they are as described except for these missing pages. I want to apologize to everyone for my mistake. I truly had no idea of their value. So if you will allow.. I am putting them back up for auction.. and I am starting them at the same starting price as before and of course.. there is no reserve.

A buyer/seller on eBay that is selling a large collection came across a great find and grabbed it.

Yes, looks like a 1st print Beta. The description has an interesting quote as well, which may be worthy of following-up with the seller ;-)

Original owner, smoke free environment. I only wished now I had gotten Gary to sign this set when we used to talk back during the gaming conventions at the Horticultural Hall in Lake Geneva. But at the time, who knew?
