No not minor marks, piles of issues:
-some bits missing from the cover sticker(see photos)

-some rust on the staples (see photos)

-the sheet where the staples are of Men & Magic looks to only be held in by 1 of the four staples (see photos)

-initials "GR" on the top right corner of the covers booklets (see photos)

-looks like a spilled coffee stain on pgs 26-27 of Men & Magic and pgs. 36-37 of Monsters & Treasure. The adjacent pages are negligibly affected (see photos)

-a stray red pen mark (2nd to last photo)

-a stray green pen mark (last photo)

I think the $6k+ price is just about right for this heavily used stain, written in, loose pages, worn item

A $5,625 difference from the set that sold in November.

I think that's a first beta, not a first alpha.

Well, duh...everyone knows Gary & Rob collaborated on this.....

Seriously though, cool observation.....should be fairly easy to confirm if it's just a weird coincidence.

Would be interesting to see if there are any notes which may have evolved into the RuneQuest/Chaosium system. I wonder if he struck through all mention of D12s, marking them as useless?

What appears to be an extra squiggle is actually Rune Magic. Adds value, I hear.

I took that to be an "N" with a squiggle and I'm going with Rune Magic too :santa:

I hope someone doesnt bid up on this thinking they are getting an Alpha.

Maybe he got nervous that he hadn't described it properly.

Im not sure I fully understand what this is? Is this the original art used for the module as it doesnt look like it. Is it a proto type? Not real clear what hes selling.

An Aussie version of the module. I suppose the 'original art' is in reference to the difference between this one and the G1-3 module.

Indeed.  :D
