Ok, just since I got up early to watch the royal wedding, and just because I know more about Russell Crowe than I probably should, does not mean I have no life.  Does it?  Note to self:  consider possibility of a) idol worship sickness and b) lack of life.

Think we could get the Brits to agree to trade the Royals for the Kardashians and Snookie?  We can also throw in Lindsey Lohan to sweeten the deal.

Strange how the Govt here are the first to congratulate them, but is it hypocritical to do so when they are also trying to cut back on pregnancy amongst those who don't work?

I'm happy with that. You do realise it's not just Kate, but all the hangers on too that you'll get

Hi,

no, I've seen the Kardashians, I dont want them.

I have no idea who "Snookie" is.

Most of the less appealing Royals are getting old, and will (probably) cough off fairly soon.
Apart from Prince Philip of course, who is too funny to die.

Took our 9 year old niece to the Paralympics when she visited - had to get last minute tickets for her and her mum. They turned out to be VIP returns - in the middle of the athletes families, about 8 seats away from the Royal box. Kate turned up that day. My niece was ecstatic - "it probably the closest I'll ever get to a real princess" she said.

Cheers,
KAL

I'd pay to see their faces.
Tbh, I'd think that the nurse might've had some other issues and this was the final straw. I don't think the OTT media coverage here though

Interesting to see the medias sympathetic take on this.

I'd be pretty intersted to know how many journalists got hold of her number/address and similar details of her nearest and dearest and have tried to make contact with her in the last 2 days. It's not a lot of fun to have strangers banging on your door when something shit has happened so if she was "fragile" their behaviour will have had a direct and real affect that culminated in tragedy. Of course, no-one involved is legally liable but I hope they at least don't sleep soundly in their beds for a while - Most right thinking people wouldn't if they thought, even for a second, that they were even slightly responsible for a man losing his wife and the mother of his 2 children. (Though such journalists might not be considered right- thinking by my standards).

I'm just glad I really believe that what goes around, comes around.

(end of rant  )
