This is why a will is so important.  You know, you COULD make someone other than your family the executor of your gaming estate.  How about a trusted, long time Acaeum member, whom you could rest assured would love and cherish your collection as much as you did.  Imagine the peace of mind you'll have.  I'll PM you my legal name and a handy list of local reputable Probate attorneys, just in case.

No word on when the three suns are supposed to align relative to the planet, but it is notable that the planet itself is 1.3 times the size of Earth. So the inhabitants must grow to compensate for somewhat more gravity, & thus the humanoid gelfings are likely to be larger than us! Who knew?

Finished reading Empire of Imagination (by Michael Witwer) last night!  Witwer does a solid job at making his reader feel like they're standing next to Gary Gygax throughout his professional (and earlier on, personal) journey.  He portrays Gary in such a relatable way, and makes the reader feel like Gary's a friend that you've never met rather than simply a caricature of a social/gaming pioneer who influences your life.   If you're curious about the man/myth/legend, then I can't recommend this book enough!

Agent Cooper wrote in Random Thoughts or OT Chit-Chat Thread:I guess I haven't been keeping up.  The last I heard over the summer was that the Star Wars franchise was on hiatus.  They fired the person in charge of SW at the studio and were re-tooling the whole thing and weren't going to release any more movies after the "Solo" debacle.

Now this new trailer pops up?

The spin-offs are on hold but the final trilogy of the trilogy (Episode IX) is still on.

*Begin rant*  I just gotta say for the record that I am actually looking forward to this film, and I am glad someone is making it.  While there is no way this film will come close to the nostalgia I feel about the original trilogy, I'd rather have these films than not.  While Episode VIII was a disappointment, the overall attempts of continuing the saga have been enjoyable, in particular, for me, Episode VII and Rogue One.  It seems sometimes like people are trying to out-critique each other on the merits or faults of this that or the other.  They're movies.  If you don't like them, just go to a galaxy far, far away.  *End rant*  

Despite the fact that the Death Star was trotted out yet-again (ugh!), I enjoyed Rogue One in general.  I also liked many parts of The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, but like the rest of the films from Return of the Jedi onward*, they've not come-together with the same level of magic as Star Wars or Empire.  

I also enjoyed Solo, and am sorry to hear that they've put the side-stories on hold.  I think that exploring the Star Wars universe through such one-offs promised a great way to tell some fun stories without undue worry and focus on the main character arcs, existing canon, etc., etc.  Oh well

* Other than Attack of the Clones, which I still think is the best of the post-Empire films to date

I liked Solo, I thought it was a lot fun. Definitely better than I've liked the new Trilogy so far.

Please don't throw things at me, it's just an opinion

+1 Rogue One is on par with the original trilogy, and its reviews and commercial success seem to bear that out. The other 6+ films have largely bordered on average to awful. I think to dismiss negative reaction to the Last Jedi as mere criticisms from fanboys is to completely misunderstand the contempt for that film as a general piece of art. Last Jedi is by far the worst fan rated Star Wars film on Rotten Tomatoes - yes, even the Phantom Menace is preferred!

My son and I were also at DragonFlight.  Only one day, and I did not leave the RPG room, so I did not get to see most of the show.  I was hoping to check out the auction, but did not get to do that either.
