Just wondering which current members who sell on ebay have good listings, which can be copied as a template?

badmike3books
is one of the biggest and best ebay sellers of rpg materials that I know of on these forums.  He's also very knowledgeable of all things d&d and their worth.  He has about 168 rpg listings at the moment.  Plus, he's a great guy!   8)

Packripper is a great seller on eBay and his or her listings have a straight-to-the-point informative style.

I will respectfully disagree, I have found packripper to be a bit of a dodgy operator who regularly racks up negatives and neutrals. I had a bad experience and have not bought anything from him since, but to be fair others have had a different experience.

As regards a good listing template, I would however definitely not copy him. The ALL CAPS! style is off-putting as is the grubby yellow blanket backdrop. Also he tends to just use one or two pics. This is I suppose fine if you are selling a lot of low-priced items but will put people off if you are selling anything expensive.

Ebay has plenty of good examples, here is just one I looked at today.

(nice that he cites the Acaeum)

And here is an example from our very own dbartman

All the very best of luck with your selling!

Seconded.  I've bought items from Badmike in the past and always a good transaction.  Nice guy and great to do business with.

Fwiw, before you "copy" anyone's listing, please consider asking them. Not only can it be taken poorly by the copied, it can also be viewed as an eBay violation, which if you don't ask permission and the seller reports you(which would be alleviated by asking first) leaves you open to having your listing taken down by eBay.

FYI... Packripper is an Acaeum member and is quite active (though it's not me.)

We've heard about this guy before, but now there's a video about his Dungeon Master job:

I was watching a fairly new movie last night called "THE SONG OF SWAY LAKE". Not doing a recommendation here, though I didn't think it was bad. Very Art House so...

Anyhow, the plot was about finding this record album that was unique and then they were fighting over whether or not to break it out of the shrink "because it would seriously hurt the value of it if anyone ever opened it" so they could finally listen to it.

Also funny was that someone had rated the album 5 out of 5 stars when no one had ever listened to it.

Felt a little related to our shared hobby

Haha! Once you start seeing it you see it everywhere. I was watching an episode of Big Little lies (Season 2 if you must know, go on, judge me!).. The wealthy couple are going bankrupt and the husband is holed up in his collection room, drinking whisky and playing with vintage toys (plenty of glass display cases etc..) .. and she storms in and shouts "Sell your shit"  8O  8O

No judgement here, there's WAY TOO MUCH I could be judged on when it comes to entertainment.

Hmm I think Big Little Lies looks interesting enough and my Library has it. I'll check it out - I like Reese and Nicole. Shoot, there's a buttload of good actors in it. Thanks.

My family plans to dumpster my rpgs, miniatures and wargames. I wouldnt mind if they sold everything but they arent the types to go through the process.

Sell or donate your collection before that happens!
