Refund in process! :)

In time for the con too!

I wish we could get some legal action against this loser. I suppose our ability will be limited for those of us that receive money back. :S

Refund received.

that's great news that they credited you so quickly!

Seems like yours should go quick too. I wonder if a certain number of returns flags ebay's system/personnel more quickly and then after that point, the process is very fast and they immediately go after the seller instead of dragging the process along.

does anyone know who bought the 13 buckles and/or was the possible overseas French buyer?

muaddib5 wrote in Interesting eBay alert! TSR belt buckles:My buckle should be here shortly.  The seller's current auction consists of 11 sold and 12 remaining for a total of 23.  His last batch (which I got mine from) was 30 total.  Quick math, that's 53 PLUS the 13 he sold earlier.  66 seems to be a lot.  No reply from Bergamot as of yet.

This is an old post from 2007.  Maybe Frank can authenticate this person as an employee of TSR?

Maria MacIntyre said:
"I worked for TSR Hobbies Inc., in 1982 and 1983.  During that time, the Gygax and Blume officers of the company thought it would be a good idea to give solid brass belt buckles crafted by Bergamont Brass (they made a lot of TSR's miniatures) that said "TSR The Game Wizards" on them as rewards for good work.  Not many of them were made by Bergamont Brass because they were made specifically for TSR (This is my memory anyway, it's been a long time )
Anyway, I just found the buckles they gave me in a drawer.  I have three of them.  I am wondering if anyone would be interested in buying them?
I checked ebay and they had all kinds of D&D stuff but no TSR belt buckles.
Is this something anyone would be interested in and if you think it is, would you be able to tell me where I would put them up for sale? I am checking some other DnD sites too.
Thanks much,
Maria"

Frank, I would be very interested in your response to this as I purchased the three buckles (two pewter and one brass/bronze) from Maria. She was very nice to deal with and the buckles appear authentic. Thanks for your time.

Pix? By 1982 TSR had over 250 employees, and I knew few of them, since I was imprisoned in the RPGA/GenCon offices in the old hotel. ;>

Frank, do you recall by any chance when the TSR/RPGA belt buckle was released?  I still have mine somewhere in a box in the basement...

If you are looking for an original buckle, I have posted mine in the classifieds! This was given to me by my father, Tom Wham!

I forgot to check this thread for a while... I wonder if ebay changes the account name to a random thing and does that now to free up account names?

Definitely the same guy/people. Same way of making each sale private, etc. I wonder how many more ebay accounts that guy has?

Posted on Facebook (RPG Auctions - Lobby):

Ripoff Alert (Etsy, not this group):
Vintage Collectible D&D Buckles

Someone using the name "Joe Pendleton" is selling a brand-new version of a belt buckle I helped design and create in 1981.

It's still marked "TM" (though it's not his tradmark) and "Made by Bergamot Brass, Delavan WI" (though it is not).

This looks like outright theft. Somebody report him to Etsy.
Avoid the thieves in the marketplace.

The old boy is still at it.  I wonder how many more he's been able to sell since last year?  :?

Well, it either sold or Etsy told him to pull it down. It's marked as sold on Etsy.
