This page does not say he cannot refuse PayPal, but rather it is one of the methods EBay finds acceptable to use.

Now on the other hand, his requesting bank-to-bank or personal check is out of bounds. He can only offer these on the categories of Motors, Business & Industrial, Real Estate, or Adult Only items. Cash transactions can be made at pickup. He also can't put a method into a listing, then discourage its use.

I guess my point was this. He has PayPal in the original listing. He can't just write in a few words that say "I don't take PayPal." If I won this, I'd pay through PayPal and he'd be out of luck. You are correct that he cannot request the payment methods he tries to request. You need to use one of the methods eBay allows, and clearly, cash or check isn't going to work. Regardless, buyer beware with this one, especially if you're dumb enough to pay cash.

Paizo if doing a sale.. some polyhedrons for $2.. other stuff I'm sure (like pathfinder paths for $6.. thats a good deal)

Ordered some. The shipping is a bit high though, unless you purchase over a $100. They discount the shipping $10 if you do.

Thanks for the heads up Brette!

Shipping was about $1.50 per item, I prefer saying it that way, (rather than I just spent $90 in postage, ouch!)

The $2 modules are a great deal too, if a little irritating that I paid more than that for most of them

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Pretty good deal IMHO

This is all so disappointing. Most of us collectors are missing this little gem. With all the good info people have added, I now think I'm out of the race... just too risky. I'm also interested in Versimilitude's comment about spine cracking...

Re: spine cracking.
This was a module done by TSR UK, and they had not made one before.

Two things make the outer cover tend to get a bit ratty:
a) the cover is made of a less pliable, and lower grade (I think) type of cardboard than the american printed modules. It seems to have a tendency to become ever so slightly brittle and therefore crack slightly from the spine out.
b) ST1 is A4 sized, as opposed to nearly all the other modules, which are AQ, which means that ST1 is slightly taller. It therefore tend to take the brunt of any damage in a box of modules as it stands proud of the others.

it should also be noted that I picked up a large collection of modules a few months ago.

There was a lot of stuff, but none of the "biggies". however, he had some excellent copies of them.
The guy had laminated them to show they were not originals, but other than that they are extremely good.
Standouts of these copies were ST1 and a Jade Hare with cover.

Yes, I couldn't order from my account as all, it was just going in loops.. if this is happening I would suggest you try a new account.. I tried, and I got other people to trya and couldn't get my account to work.. eventually someone odered some stuff for me and I pad them back.. it might be an overseas thing?

Someone should really write a book on the warning signs of fake and forged RPGs. I know I'd buy it. Perhaps a collective effort by the Acaeum community?
