No one's heard of Book of Mysteries?  I wonder what I was thinking  

I finished my collection of OD&D boxed set booklets.  
For years I've owned the orig 3 + GH, BM, EW and GD&H.
But my set was not complete until recently when I bought Swords & Spells and an (albeit late) edition of Chainmail.

Boxed sets are great.  Love 'em!

Impressive collection.

I know this isn't a big deal to some people here who own far greater collections than my own, but I got the final puzzle piece to my AD&D 1E collection today!  (TSR published 1E commercially released gaming material, that is.) I got a nice copy of R4 - Doc's Island after a long hunt for a nice copy at a reasonable price.  I now have every book, module and supplement that TSR put out for AD&D 1E.  (That includes the wacky stuff like the combat wheel, but doesn't include stuff like toys and puzzles and whatnot... only gaming material.) Yeah, it may be a goofy quest to some, but it was something I wanted to do.  

Granted, there is still something that I do not have yet... a complete run of Polyhedron through the 1E and 2E era. I have a chunk of them, but I have all of the Dragon magazines and Dungeon magazines that cover that time-period, so I am still on my quest to complete my Polyhedron run.

I also have plenty of Judges Guild, Role Aids, 2E stuff, OSRIC, etc... but I am not being completist about those things. For those, I just pick and choose the things I like and feel I can incorporate into my 1E world.  If I was completist about everything 1E-related, I think I might go mad... and broke. lol

Anyway, this might be uninteresting to many of you, but it was a big moment for me in my collecting, so I wanted to crow about it a lil. lol

I have spare copies of 21, 30, 35, 36, 37, 39 and 102 that I'm happy to send to you. Most of them have mailing covers. I've just noticed that 35 seems to be have been cut incorrectly when printed, so I'm not sure that one counts as "intact" .

FYI, a number of the mailing covers have content on them (on the back). Several even have maps for the modules. For example, issue #28 with Frank's Great Bugbear Hunt. It's strange because the module is centered so it can be detached from the magazine, but then there's this extra map on the back cover. I guess they assumed you could also detach the mailing cover and use the separated map while playing. This is only a worry for issues #13+, as 1-12 did not have the covers.

The Acaeum page for Polyhedrons does not note this, but there's some info in this thread:

This would be good info to have on the Acaeum Poly page, or the Wiki (which currently does not have most of the Polys on it).

Reading about folks' collections, regardless of size or content, is very compelling.  
If your goal was nothing more than getting a copy of the combat wheel  -- and you accomplished it -- most everyone here would enjoy hearing about it.
It's part of that "collector mindset".

When folks share a common hobby they are very supportive of each other.
I've found this to be true in my other two hobbies also (writing and genealogy).

My expeiences with The Acaeum have been very, very good in this regard.

I can imagine how that must have felt to find the final piece... and Metamorphosis Alpha too boot!    Definitely a good day for you there, Clang!
