Well, I found my company no longer needs me as of May 31st.  Not what I wanted, but my wife and I are not exactly hurting, and I was only a few years away from my planned retirement.  We should be able to find something to fill in the gap sooner or later.     Maybe I could be a professional Dungeon Master!!!  And for those of you who don't know, that's a real thing in larger cities.  

My sympathies, Chris.    It occurs to me that you may have grounds for a lawsuit, re: age discrimination.  I'm sure every company would like to get rid of their employees right before retirement.

Dude! That sucks - especially if you're near retirement. Good luck with getting interim work. Plus if you can (and I appreciate that this may be tough in the circumstances) you might even enjoy a few days of freedom in between jobs. It goes without saying that of course you have a free pass on stealing all the office stationary and supplies you can. Good luck!!

Not exactly.  But I do have the constitution of the United States!    

I went to see the movie Avengers: End Game today, and it was surprisingly satisfying.  I really didn't think Marvel would be able to conclude this epic adventure with any finality and make it work, but they succeeded.  Realize, since 2007, Marvel Studios has produced and released 22 films!   Part of Marvel's dilemma was how to incorporate so many actors, but they did, even if that meant some characters had no lines, just appearances.  This movie has little to do with comic book story, except that both had infinity stones and a couple of other moments.  There were a couple of times where they broke the Marvel Universe rules which was disappointing because it wasn't necessary to make the movie work.  Marvel continued to keep things mostly serious with just enough funny lines.  It wasn't too long or too short, but you probably want to go to the bathroom before the movie starts.  It's over 3 hours long and that doesn't include any previews, of which there were quite a few at my theater.

Believe it or not, there are no bonus scenes at the end, and that adds a finality to the series.  However, there is a bonus sound at the end of all the credits.  You have to wait a long time to hear it, so you could just leave the theater and hear it on Youtube along with commentary as to what it possibly means.  The theater had maybe fifty people in it for a 12:30 PM showing.  I did not see it in IMAX or 3D.  I highly recommend seeing it in the theater.
