Cross-question: how would you feel once you pay 4+k for a module and after some time someone finds a stock of it? It happened to me a couple of times (hopefully not for such a value) and i found myself both silly and frustrated...

Not very good.  It's probably safe to say that won't happen with ST1.  There's been plenty of time for that inventory to surface.

I tried, but that went much higher than I thought.

I won the previous eBay ST1, only to have the asshat seller cancel the sale for no given reason (other than lying to eBay saying I requested it).  Was excited to see another chance, but yeah, wow...never thought it would go that high.

I bid on that at $95 hoping for a lucky one and was blown away by the final bid  8O I know its not a record though as I have seen copies of T1-4 and GDQ1-7 go for more, a Queen of the Spiders went for $395 iirc

Maybe a little high but I recall better shrink copies going for $180+ 2 or 3 years ago.  It was also listed in a shrink "grouping" which has a tendency to inflate prices (I can get multiple items in one go, spend more!)

Didn't you buy the GDW Shrink from me a few years ago when I sold off that collection (the gentleman had passed away with the proceeds going to his family...). It sold for ~ $350?

If you mean the GDQ probably, but I forgot after all these years what I paid for it LOL

dbartman wrote in Interesting Items Currently on eBay:Provenance would definitely help, but I can say, with a pretty high confidence level, that these are the real thing.  I've got a few of these myself, which I purchased off a ex-TSR employee, quite a few years ago, and they are almost identical.  Even some of the writing seems to be from the same person.  The age and placement of the tape, stickers, and the typing are virtually identical.

I do think price for this lot is rather ambitious though.  It would be good to know more about what actual editing/markups exist in the books.

I was checking sold auctions and those modules sold for approx $4,000 btw (actual price), not the $4775 that this page displays

This is just curiosity more than an interesting item...  Look at here:

Don t you see that cover printing for this booklet is cropped differently? The dungeons & dragons title is close to the top side while there is more room on the bottom side than the other covers?
