Thanks King!

Would be nice to snag one of those.

Earliest one I've got is 7 right now.

Best regards,

hello
i know there has been some questions about the prices that i have put my items up on ebay for.i was the one who bought the r1/r2 and i3 for $300 + postage from the us,which i think was a good price for original art.
The thing which people have forgotten is the exchange rates.when i bought these you were getting $120 to the pound.now you are paying 158/159 so the uk prices seem high.(let alone uk postage fees)
i dont buy fron the countires in europe unless its an item i really want as the exchange rate is about 120.i cannot do much on how the countries set there exchange rate but it is cheaper for me to buy from the us and pay the postage as i still save.i have had a buyer and i was suprised how much the exchange rate affected things.
i start my auctions with a starting price that is the minium i expect(also i dont have to set reserve price auctons which cost me in ebay fees). i do not expect it to sell for much more,if it does then its nice but i dont want to just give my collection away(it has memories)i know some most of you feel the same when you have spent years building these collections up.
i just waned to clear a few things up
ps the art is from the complete ninja handbook

Is that supposed to be a good price?

I need to dig through my 3E stuff then for that one...

The last one I sold went for $15 or less! The most I ever got for one was $28 and that was several years ago.

It wont stop there either.

That is a pristine copy.

Would be surprised if it did not top $350.

If I had that sort of scratch, I know danged well it would not sell for a measily $272... 8)

I guess just goes to show how little I really know about the market after 2 years of following.  I picked up a NM copy with some very slight staple rust for like $160 and felt guilty about spending that much.  Sheesh.

The trigger loosens up with use. In my earlier days of collecting, I found a place online that had Dragon 1-6 and all the Strategic Reviews for $100.  I hemmed-and-hawed about it for a while then finally pulled the trigger and bought it, then felt guilty about spending so much, then canceled the order.  After a few more days I went back and replaced the order.  Nowadays, I hardly blink at a $100 final price.

You got an awesome deal if that was in the last couple of years.

And to expound on my previous post.
I am not saying that $272 is not a whopping lot of money because it is a whopping lot of money.
But the folks that are bidding that much for a pristine copy of Dragon Issue 1 are not nuts.
At least I dont think so and I would go there if I could.

Good luck.

Might want to check their feedback first.  98.1% isn't horrible but it's pretty significant when you look at the reasons.  Very slow to ship, overcharging on shipping, vague or misleading descriptions, and apparently unwilling to work with the buyer to fix problems in some cases.
