And why is shipping over $50?  Is it for gas money so he can personally drive it to my house?  At that price, they should cover the shipping insurance for me.  :?

It's $90 to get it shipped to Canada.

Either they're armouring it like -- strike that with a tank, or I have no idea how they've hit that shipping cost.

They're T&T, Goat. No rhyme or reason to them at all.

Was this a box insert or a standalone item.  It looks like the format of a conspectus.

It was a standalone item for a contest.  Similar format but different quality of paper.

Note to self:  When you want something and don't know what it is worth, fish it up to find out instead of learning in the last ten seconds that half a dozen people will also pay a lot higher than the bid.

FYI, issue #2 has the first KODT strip and these were sold and will be signed by the artist!

Bleh, lol.  I couldn't get higher bids typed in fast enough!

I'm tempted (but not 100% certain) to say that the copy down at my FLGS is cheaper than TnT's shipping.

I was watching and was going to put in a (losing) token bid but it was another auction that was US only.

Same with me.  By the time I got my bid in, it had already gone higher than that and didn't even register.  In any event, I was no where near the ending price.

I've got a feeling that no matter how long I play at this collecting thing, I will keep being surprised every once in a while by being outbid at auctions by large margins.

There's always a personal factor.  If an item fills a long open hole in someone's collection, "value" may not matter much.
