Any good game stores I should visit?

Also, I will be in downtown San Francisco on July 31.

Last time I was in SF I went to Gamescape on 333 Divisidero, which was OK. It had a decent selection of new (this was 2 years ago), although not much in the way of 2nd hand. They had tables for running games though which is always nice to see (and in my opinion the best way for shops to compete with online stores). Depends where you mean by downtown though - in SF the central administrative area is mostly big hotels and conference centers, but lots of interesting places are only a fairly short walk/bus trip away.

I spent 6 months in SF last year, I second Gamescape on Divisdero (I bought LL there so they have a pretty good selection of RPG titles). Games of Berkeley is also great and it is right off the BART stop for downtown Berkeley.

If you need food recommendations, PM me (lived near Pine and Taylor on Nob Hill) I have a bunch of good ones to recommend.

Interesting how people react once the shooting starts. Nobody really runs for cover or even moves much; the guy with the hands up was facing the the other way and turns around like somebody just f@rted; the lady right next to the vigilante just walks in a circle...heck, the most nervous guys are the robbers themselves!!

I am in the Dallas Area for a funeral for the next two days. I don't need condolences (didn't know the deceased), but I do need a recommendation for BBQ between Love Field and Lewisville, advice?

A couple of years ago I would have said Hard 8, but they have fallen down the rabbit hole. A place I went to awhile back that was pretty good and that is right south of Lewisville (Grapevine) is Big Racks:

I think Soul Man's BBQ is pretty good, but I think all the stores are in East Dallas. I bet Kingofpain has some good recommendations.

Edit: Apparently there is a Soul Man's really close to Love Field! I'll have to drive over sometime.

Soul Man BBQ is crap now that it is a chain. The original in East Texas was good but even it blows nowadays. Unfortunately I havent ever eaten at any of the places in the part of the city you are asking about.

All the above BBQ joints are between Lewisville and Love Field and get three star ratings. You just dont find very many spectacular BBQ places in Dallas anymore. Pecan Lodge at the Dallas Farmers Market is only open a couple of days a week (weekends I think) and it is supposedly some of the best 'que in Texas. And now that they featured it on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives it will become even more popular.

Got to see that and Spiderman at an outdoor theater last night. Wasn't as wowed as I was thinking I would be, but both good movies never the less.

Looking forward to it. There's a theatre here in town that serves beer and wine, so we'll probably go there.

Also... the 21 Jump Street comedy is actually not that bad if you're sitting at home, have nothing to watch and get desperate.
