Hm.  Never seen the two booklets featured in the bottom right pic.  Anybody know anything about them?

BGGs has a reference to Duel Arcane by Gamelords:

http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/11239

The other can be found at ToT by by L. W. Willis and K. D. Costley Jr., Martian Game Modules.

http://tomeoftreasures.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=777&highlight=fighter

Wern't Martian Metals miniatures produced out of Killeen, Texas too?

Beware, too on all of this person's gaming items as some are described as having 'soot' on them.  Where there is soot there is smoke smell?

There is also a T.H.E. NPC that has a few printings as well.  NK still has a couple of copies for $6.50 each - I picked up a couple copies from there over the years.  They are an early nonTSR item but don't seem very sought after.  More books were planned but not published.

I remember looking into the Martian Metals connection but forget if they were the same people or not.

Duel Arcane is by Gamelords who did the Thieve's Guild items.  It is basically a battle game between two wizards.  It is on the Tome as well here:

http://tomeoftreasures.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=710

I think this is normally a $20-$25 item when auctioned separately and advertised.

The seller does have some nice items up but could probably do with some better pictures and descriptions and to max out the profits - it seems like the seller doesn't really know what he has.

According to the seller, the "soot" may also be spray paint.

any chance that they will be able to sell at this price ? it seems way over the amounts here on the site, just curious because at some point in the future I would like to get my hands on a copy, but would like to pay around the amounts here on the site.

You should be able to get one in the $1000-$1200 range.  Troll and Toad is way out on this one.

Games can get you through times of no money but money can not get you through times of no games!!

I'm curious about this one - how it will do compared with the regular copies still in shrink.

The last one I recall seeing on ebay was Frank's (DL).  I think the burnie bros won it for a bit over $200.  Maybe two-three years ago.

edit:  I mean a s/w copy with the Easley print.

Ah yes, I do remember that one - they are considerably harder to find than regular ones.  Also just to clarify: all 5000 have the Easley print but 1000 of them are signed and numbered.  They do seem harder to find than 1 in every 5 shrinked copies sold - maybe someone is hoarding.

That's right.  I meant signed print.

FWIW, I don't recall Frank's having that gold sticker on the front, but do recall the burnie bros somehow knew it had the signed print.  Maybe I just didn't look closely enough at the pic in Frank's auction.  I think Frank himself was surprised it had the signed print after the auction ended and the burnie bros posted that info here.

seems a little fishy. I have one with orginal shrink, and if i was selling it i would take much better pictures of it, and the cover looks awfully dirty, damaged for being protected.

Does anyone know who wound up winning the shrinkwrapped OCE? Just curious how it turned out.
