Hey Disco,
I wasn't sure if you were joking or not on actually buying it but the reason I was posting on those was because it's a printout of a pdf compilation. I didn't want anyone to get bamboozled by the seller on this. This is a snapshot so you can get an idea of what I was talking about, so you can see it's not "rare" as the seller states.

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

No I actually did buy it.  Flipped thru it today and it brings me back to reading from cover to cover Dragon Magazine as a kid.  So whether it is a fake type thing or not the $147 dollars brought back a few minutes of my childhood so well worth the cabbage.

:D

Seller looks to be unloading his collection and prices are somewhat scattered. Most are priced too high, but not everything.   :|

I am not "unloading my collection."  I have been dealing in role playing books and other games/gaming materials on ebay for nearly 10 years.
I use the proceeds to fund my own gaming addictions, lol.
I try very hard to keep my prices competitive with others on ebay and amazon and I am very OCD about grading condition of my items.  I want happy customers.
Everything I list has a "Buy it Now" option as well as "Make me an Offer" and I do take lower offers from people quite often.

If you are not happy with my prices, I'm sorry to hear that, but you are free to make an offer on any items I have posted.  Everything is negotiable to some degree.

I would ask that if you wish to post about me in the future on a forum, that you message me before making assumptions.
Happy Gaming

eBay listings are scrutinized without prejudice here. All listings are open and fair game.

IMO I doubt anything said here is hurting your business.

If anything it draws attention to it because everyone clicks on the auction link and looks at your other items. And I'd be willing to bet many of us probably buy something

Hello undeadchipmunk.  As a gamer and collector, we look forward to your future contributions.  Please don't come onto The Acaeum with a defensive attitude.  Everyone here is entitled to an opinion and most people here are quite reasonable and friendly.  We all share the same passion.

As was mentioned, the auction you referenced was from 2013, and quite frankly, there was nothing to be defensive about.  The comments were reasonable and probably did result in more attention to your auctions.  No one is going to ask you for permission to post comments related to items you are selling.  You are entitled to sell your goods at whatever price you want, but this is a open forum, and as such, people are entitled to call them out, right or wrong.  If they are a troll, or get out of hand, they will be dealt with by the community and/or the moderator.

Welcome to The Acaeum!

Firstly, I did not notice how old the post was, I don't do forums and only found the posting by accident through a google search.

Secondly, it was not my intention to be rude, I was simply trying to clarify that he was mistaken about his assumptions and that he could have known the truth about me and my store, had he simply asked.
That being said, I take my store very seriously and I felt that him saying my prices were scattered and too high, warranted a response because while that may be his opinion it certainly isn't mine.
I have a considerable number of repeat customers and a 100% feedback rating, so I'd say it's not my customers opinion either.
You say it probably helped draw attention to my auctions, which is possible, but it also could have made people avoid my store.

I typically avoid such things as forums because people on the internet feel ten foot tall and bulletproof due to the anonymity it provides.
Places like forums and comment boards give them the freedom to share any opinion on any topic regardless if they have any actual knowledge on the subject or the skill set required to actually comprehend what they are giving an opinion about.  It's just nonsense feeding on nonsense most of the time and I have better things to do.
However, I take pride in my store and in having happy customers.
I was offended by his assumption that I was some 50 year old guy, selling some of my books from my moms basement and trying to screw people for more than they were worth.
Those are not the words he used, but that is basically what he meant.

If his opinion of me is somehow more valid to your forum than my opinion of his opinion of me you can erase my posts and I won't bother you or him any further.
No worries, just don't want to be called something that I'm not.
Happy Gaming  :D

Hey Undead, welcome to the forum too. Sorry the initial incident here was negative. Hope you stay awhile. Really, people here are very nice, but comments do run wild once in a while. There's a lot of a great research on the forums to check out too, if youre interested.
