Bloody Hellfire, that's a lot of kit.

I tried to do a rough estimate as a reseller but my brain started to seep out of my ears!!

On balance, probably not worth the effort, though at $10 an item it might give pause to some.

(auction starts with the caveat 'some staples removed' - so alarm bells there BUT 3 S/W Silver Anniversary boxes, multiple mono modules, some more decentish shrink stuff - Jury is still out here)

(Or instant collection of course - with a load of trade-bait ready to go)

You can never have too much of something you didn't need in the first place.

Anyone remember how much he was asking when it was on Craigslist? The listing there seems to have expired.

No, I was trying to check that myself.

However, the craigslist ad was in Cleveland, this lot is in Portland. Does it make any sense at all to buy several grand worth of stuff, only to turn it around in a few weeks time still as a lot?

Edit: Thought just came to me - guy is moving from Cleveland to Portland, tries to unload his D&D stuff before moving, is unsuccessful, so now he tries to sell it after the move. (Theory only)

i dont remember the individual items on craigslist, but this does certainly look very similar. i think it could be the same lot. not that many ppl would sell that many items in a lot...

No way is this worth $7500. This line alone should send all of us running:
"A good portion of the modules have the staples removed."

There isn't much in terms of really rare stuff, and what is there is not in very good condition. IMO, If a reseller could get it all for $3k, it would be a good deal. At $7500, all you are doing is saving yourself the time to put together a collection for yourself.

It's from Craigslist.
The original listing also included other services, but I understand they're no longer allowed on Craigslist either.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

In general the larger the collection of crap the lower the individual pieces of crap end up selling for. A collector isn't going to want multiple copies of the same item and a reseller isn't going to pay much for items they already have multiple copies of that don't sell quickly. At least not for anything but liquadation prices, and $7500 for this lot just isn't liquadation.

I agree with Gus and Jason.
Seems WAY too high for a re-seller to even bother with.
And too much duplication for a rich newbie collector who wants to score it all with one buy.

HOWEVER; the seller did leave open the option of making an offer.

As a reseller, I did a quick calculation, and I wouldn't pay over $1500 myself......preferably around $1000. Some of that stuff would be murder to make your money back on....
