One stray 10th anniversary shrinkwrapped D&D mod pack (L1, L2) which might've gone under the radar relatively since the (same) seller set the end date later than that other batch;

Is someone swiping online research (here/ToT/wherever) and publishing it?

Well, the description of the B1 shown includes "It [B1 In Search of the Unknown] has unique "fill-in-your-own" monsters and treasure, from provided tables (rather than the standard pre-scripted encounters and loot)." which is exactly what is on the B1 page here. The synopsis seems to be directly from the product itself.

Here is where you can buy them without going through Ebay:

http://gamers-rule.com/Tomes.aspx

I read that they did a pre-release at Gen Con this past year.  Joseph Goodman made a comment about them over on Goodman Games' forum:

http://www.goodman-games.com/forums/vie ... f=1&t=6891

Read down towards the bottom.  Apparently he thinks quite highly of them.

I'm sure the "Foreign Editions" information for B1 is swiped from here. There are two entries, UK & Netherlands, and the Netherlands even says "brown cover, different art", which is shown on the Acaeum B1 foreign page.

http://www.acaeum.com/ddindexes/modpage ... b1for.html

This is just factual information however, so as long as they don't steal actual text or photos from the Acaeum I don't know if there's much that could be done. But I wouldn't be surprised if some or all of their cover shots are lifted from here or somewhere else.

Unless someone has a great collection I'd tend to agree that some of it is swiped from here.. in fact you could almost put money on it...

I saw these at GenCon.  I wasn't all that impressed.  They're pretty much a product list, with skimpy factual details.  None of the interesting history was covered, at least as far as I saw.  So I didn't pick them up.  I figured I could get all the same information here or at ToT.

I picked these up at Gencon last year (30% off on the last day :) ), they are not bad but are restricted in there info.  There are missing items, missing info etc.  The guy publishing them was quite nice and helpful, he knows about the site(Acaeum) and apparently owns each item in the books.

Still sites like Acaeum and ToT and much better and can be updated when new info surfaces.

I don't know if I'd get the kind of inspiration I needed taking a bath with all those other people. :?  :wink:

*g* Read $400 with 2 1/4 hours?

Still pretty reasonable IMO relative to the $500 RPGA4 sale in June by hdragonsna, even allowing for faults on that here, but with a sound RPGA3...

(Rs/RPGAs are usually a bad idea to sell together unless you know you've a buyer in mind and/or a solid underbidder).

I'm watching five of them at the moment - how many do you see?
