Kinda weird seeing R1 go for more than R4

Alas I remember when the only one I needed was RPGA#2 to finish my RPGA set and I spent an astounding $120 for a MINT copy. Those were the days

Same buyer took all 4 RGPAs for total of $1830.

Thats $3280 for R1 - R4 & RPGA1 - RPGA 4.

Someone needs to coin a term for the effect that having a 'complete' run of something available at the same time for sale does to the overall prices of the individual items. I've seen it happen with much more common items, but this was suprising.

I like to imagine that the seller didn't really know what they had, and suddenly feels like a lottery winner!

Maybe, maybe not, but it's a fun thought.

Areas of interest/knowledge: Harn, WFRP, Ars Magica, anything BRP based such as CoC, Runequest, Pendragon and all their related games

I was following the R4, since that is the last 1E item I need, but that price sure seemed quite high, in the end. I bowed out. I can't get over that R1, though, now that I see it! I wasn't even paying attention to it, at the time. O_o

I cant remember the last time I saw one of the FGU Flash Gordon's go for $50. Must be the inclusion of the card. But why anyone would really give a rats ass about someone else's original receipt is beyond me.

Provenance? But then it's usually smart to keep the receipt with the item purchased.

Provenance I get. But only in the case of unique items or other extremely rare stuff. And yes...it makes no damn sense whatsoever to sell the receipt separate from the item purchased, regardless if its rare or in this case, not.

DDG w/ Melnibonean and Cthulhu mythoi, plus an "ultra rare" extra!!! A "leather" copy of the Vanishing Tower. This is an ingenious way to try to sell a Deities and Demigods for more than it's worth, I suppose, but the bonus book is worth about $20... maybe. Less in the condition shown. $150 for both is just wishful thinking.

Off topic: I sold a full sized poster of that Elric Battle Scene last season.

It looked cery cool (IMO).

I worry more about how the books will be shipped:

Below is an example of my shipping quality. Larger listings get similar care. I dont send crappy boxes, with garbage fillings to protect the books like some other sellers.

From the picture, it looks like the seller just wraps them in paper but that's good enough for Media Mail shipping anyway right?

Nobody's perfect, but this example of a disclaimer (saying that since mistakes don't happen, refunds will not be made) that has at least seven mispellings & grammatical errors, strikes me as also worrisome. Or, at least, ironic

There are no refunds with this lot. Your getting exacltly what is described, and the condition of the items are 100% accurate. Just like my 100% feedback. I standby accuracy, and customers service. However if you do not agree with the conditions of the auction, or the price, then please just dont bid. Its that easy.
