Once again, we are auctioning off two seats for our annual charity game on RPG Marketplace!

http://rpgmarketplace.com/Seat--1--Play ... on_details

http://rpgmarketplace.com/Seat--2--Play ... on_details

You must be registered at the site to bid, which is easy enough.  This year our celebrity players will be Dennis Sustare, Erol Otus, Jeff Dee, Frank Mentzer, Tim Kask, Rob Kuntz and Jim Ward.  Doug will again DM. If you saw last year's game, you know what a fun experience this is.  We return to the format where only the TWO winners of the auction will be at the table, everyone else will be able to watch for FREE due to our sponsor for this event, Lesser Gnome Games (Thanks Nogrod!!!)

Lesser Gnome Publications -   Lesser Gnome Games Archive

All proceeds from the auction go to a non-profit children's charity (variety Texas), if you win you get to sit with the all-star cast and adventure with them....then get your picture taken, get the gang to sign something, anything you want to commemerate the game that some people can only dream about!

I haven't talked to Doug about this yet, but moved by the spirit of giving, I'll toss in some goodies as follows:

If the winning bid for a seat is over $100, I'll get all seven celebrity players to sign a NTRPG con dice bag for you;

If the bids go higher, I'll come back here and offer some new goodies!

Anyone else looking for a roommate for the con?

Shoot me a PM!  :)

Gladiator battles (and maybe chariot racing) at my place this weekend to get ready for the con.  Right now we are looking at Saturday, starting in the morning.....if you live nearby, give us a call.

Preregistrations just hit 180!  Just one more, and the special guests will be less than 10% of the attendees.

Always a goal!!!  :D   We will have over 200 attendees this year, which will be a 40% increase over last year.

Use bug spray and sunscreen.  And take an antibiotic prescription with you so it's handy.  Bon voyage!   8)

Ok, while pulling convention stuff, I found what I will laughingly refer to as the "game box".  These are games we have available for checking out at the front if you want to play a quick boardgame at an open table. Folks, to say it's a sad selection would be a huge understatement...sort of like saying F.A.T.A.L. is a "lousy" RPG.  There are exactly five boxed games in here...Nuclear War is the best known, the rest are less distinguished.  I'm going to appeal to the people here on the forum that support the con and support gaming....if you have a used or new game gathering dust in the closet or attic, something you bought and played a couple of times and put away, we'd love a donation to help bulk up the selection here.  If you are interested, just let me know, we'd appreciate anything (as long as it's complete, please don't dump any games missing essential parts). Even if you don't attend NTRPG con but want to support us, you can send a game, just stick it in a box and mail it by cheapest mail to:

Mike Badolato/NTRPG con
PO Box 1285
Euless, TX 76039

What am I'm looking for?  I'd love to see Arkham Horror, Munchkin, Settlers of Cataan, but I'm realistic.....really ANYTHING with a SF/Horror/Fantasy premise (no Monopoly, Sorry, Chess, etc please). If in doubt, contact me first, and I'll let you know if it's something that would fit in to the theme of the con.  Thanks everyone!

Mike B.

The two Charity game seats have been auctioned!  Almost $500 was raised, all to go to Variety Texas.  Thanks so much, Curt Gould and Bill Webb!!! You are already in line for free signed dicebags, I've got something else in mind from the prize closet for going over $200 each for the seats.

Guys, I just looked at the numbers, we are WAAAAY down on raffle tickets for this year.  As in, perhaps TWO HUNDRED tickets less than last year.  Now, the good thing is that if you buy tickets now, your chances of getting one of the fabulous items below is really, really good....better than it's been any year except for our first year. The bad thing is, if we don't sell more tickets, we are probably going to have to drastically cut the prizes for next year.....the raffle has to at least break even!  It is one of the few revenue streams of the con, and without it we are going to have to sell more stuff (increase the auction, for example, or stuff we sell at RPG Marketplace) rather than put it up for grabs in the raffle.  Please think about making a donation of $10-$20, your odds are VERY good you will win something this year, and you will help out the con.  You do NOT have to be present to win!

NOTE: At this time, you can only purchase tickets at the con itself, sorry!
