I was told the pictures were uploaded, but once again no printing picture. The response:

My ebay account got hacked, then it got re disputed again. If i was listing fake stuff, i wouldnt still have an account. It wont let me upload photos at this point. The date is irrelevant since its the only book with those key features. There is this thing called buyer protection, check it out, it may re assure you. You may also call ebay and ask about my account if you don't believe me.

Fraud. He/she/it isn't showing the printing data because it is NOT a 1st print. They refused to scan the inside cover.
Aside from that, eBay accounts do not get "hacked". They claim someone took the account and posted stuff; why would anyone do that? It's bad enough to lie, but I take it as a personal insult when someone tells me a STUPID lie. It's like saying "I think you're such an idiot that you'll believe this".

I agree, he's probably lying.  *But* in case he's not (and you're a risk seeker, lol), is there some other small difference between a 1st print and a 2nd/3rd print (besides the text indicating the print on the first page)?  If so, then it's probably not well known and you may be able to ask him that instead of a picture.  Of course, this could still backfire ...but if there's a small text difference (i.e. The mention of Hobbits in older rule books), then it might shed some light on the situation.

Personally, I think a guy that actually has 1st print booklets from a woody and claims to know what he has and what they're worth, would probably frequent The Acaeum.  So if he's legit, he could very well be reading this...

I'm sure that the guy is feeding you a line of BS.

Having said that, my Ebay account was hacked (or more likely, Phished). I have no clue why someone would want to hack an Ebay account, but they did. It took me about six months to fix the issue, and many many password changes...

The seller attempted to list this item a few times before the current auction came and went. I reached out to him a few times trying to get more info, but... None the less, I know the person who won it for $750. It turns out it is a 1st printing.

Interesting - lucky guy.  Since you know the new owner, would it be possible to get a few pics of the booklets and their printing markings on this thread?  The seller wasn't able to post these photos, and these booklets have been a recurring topic around these parts.  Thanks!

You can only tell by the 3rd booklet.  The 3rd booklet has a different cover than the 1st and 2nd if it is the "beta".  From what I saw from the original auctions, this was the case so I believe you have a 1st Print Beta.  They appear to be in very good condition.  Congrats!

Odd.  An OCE box, but the books are from a brown box.  Frankenstein?

I landed this one. I will post pics once I receive it. Appears to be a fourth print in a very common oce box.

Stay tuned...

Believe me or not, but I have long believed that the title of the FRC2 module was "Curse of the Azure Blondes".
