No post-credits scene for Blade Runner 2049, which I thought was excellent.

I went to see the movie Blade Runner 2049 today and was glad I did.  In this movie, thirty years have passed since the events of the original Blade Runner.  It is a worthy sequel to the original Blade Runner movie and continues with the theme about what it means to be human.  If you have not see the original or like the original, you probably won't enjoy it as much.  It was fascinating to see how robots, called "replicants" interact with each other and technology.

If you decide to see the movie, I highly recommend you view at least the first of two prequels that explain some of the intervening history between 2019 and 2049. This is a movie made for the big screen with lots of great special effects, but the acting was good overall also.  Most important, the plot made sense to me.  It was a slow moving plot, and there weren't any big twists, but it did make me think.  I did not see it in 3-D or IMAX, but I could see where it might be worth the extra cost.  The movie is fairly long at almost three hours including previews.  Exiting the theater was slightly more jarring to my senses than usual because the contrast between the what the movie presented and reality is so different and the movie had really sucked me in.
