Jorge,

Your box top looks a lot nicer than mine, but it appears as though your box bottom is from Traveller? My box bottom is plain white. And as King mentioned, it doesn't look like you have the reference sheets. Mine came with three Corrections Sheets (one for each book), and a bunch of multi-colored Pull Out sheets as follows:

Pull Out #1/#2 (double-sided; light green)
Pull Out #3 (light green)
Pull Out #4a/b (double-sided; beige)
Pull Out #4c/d (double-sided; beige)
Pull Out #5 (double-sided; beige)
Pull Out #6a/b (double-sided; white)
Pull Out #6c/d (double-sided; white)
Pull Out #6e/f (double-sided; olive green)
Pull Out #6g/h (double-sided; light orange)
Pull Out #7 (tan)
Pull Out #8 (blue)
Pull Out #9/#10 (double-sided; blue)
Pull Out #11 (blue)
Pull Out #12 (white)
Pull Out #13a/b (double-sided; beige)
Pull Out #14a/b (double-sided; goldenrod)
Pull Out #15a/b (double-sided; goldenrod)
Pull Out #16/#17 (double-sided; goldenrod)
Pull Out #18a/b (double-sided; olive green)
Pull Out #18c/d (double-sided; olive green)
Pull Out #18e/f (double-sided; light orange)
Pull Out #19 (red) Nuclear Weapons!!!

All the sheets (Corrections and Pull Outs) are 8.5 x 11 sheets, folded in half. I'm not sure if that's everything, but's that's what came in my box. Hope that helps!

Tom

Mine is the sames as Tom's set with the white bottom and tons of reference sheets, my reference sheets are also different colors than Tom's set.

Looking at my brown box Tractics it has the same sheets also different colors.  Lots of variation here  :?

Wow....I didnt notice that when I first looked at the auction.  You're correct, that is the box bottom from the first Snapshot box set.  That kind of sucks.  :(

Sheesh, I am going to have to go through my Guidon version and TSR brown box and check to see what specific variations I can find, if any.

Damn that sucks, thought I was getting a complete set....I wouldn't mind the missing ref. sheets but the bottom part of the box being traveller upsets me....oh well...means I need to do more research prior to pulling the trigger...that's my fault...

Am I missing something here, why is this shrink copy of C3 bidding over $100?

** expired/removed eBay auction **

This shrink copy of C3 I can more understand the price with a copy of the original tournament module.

** expired/removed eBay auction **

This copy is comparatively still on a low bid compared to the one above.

Incomplete Fighter's Player Pack (missing the Beginner's Guide and miniatures, but also has extra dice and the rules & adventures book from the D&D Game [19th print?]).

Amanda would probably be okay with you returning it.  Worth asking.

Frank's SW copies have a little more weight to them.  That tourney is mouth watering for most collectors.  I don't think it's done yet...

I know that SW collectors appreciate the detail and time I spend describing the shrinkwrap itself.
I wish more of this stuff was in better shape. :/ But I calls 'em like I sees 'em.
Followup questions welcome of course (via the system, not in this thread pls).

Praps the runners-up on the high-priced Castanamir + tourney will shift to the second when they lose.
otoh the shrink'd C3 listed later by itself is over $100...

Appreciated dbartman but makes my SW copy of C3 1st printing (admittedly shink is torn slightly in two places) that I acquired for $20 an absolute bargain!!

That's the exact price I paid for mine about 3 years ago... I think that's a good deal for the buyer & seller.  I wouldn't necessarily hurry to market with yours :)

Thanks.  I was not aware that was the going rate.  Maybe I'll list it at $200.00 and see what happens.   :|

I do not think $200 is the going rate...

I bought a SWed set last month for $124.51 in a BIN (PLUS FREE shipping no less) on e-Bay from Troll and Toad no less.
And yeah, it was worth it, and it is now sitting with other collectables on a bookshelf upstairs.
The condition was as T&T stated in the listing; Near Mint in SW.

** expired/removed eBay auction **

I think that SWed copies should be going for about $150;  with opened (complete) NM sets selling for around $75-$125.

Posting a listing on e-Bay for $200 is one thing; selling it at that price is another.
Good luck.

But apparently, it sold (very quickly) for $185... so why not $200?

I can't recall an open set selling for under $100.  At $75-$100 this would be on my buy list to resell.  $125 for a shrink copy is a good price too.  Looks like T&T made a mistake and actually honoured the sale (they are now selling it for $227) - surprising.

These Massconfusion modules went for pretty low prices, considering some of the prices in years past:

http://www.ebay.com/csc/i.html?_sacat=S ... te=1&rt=nc

Isn't it pretty obvious at this point that the seller is reprinting these in some way?  The same seller has been offering them on ebay for over 10 years now.  Hard to believe he has a stash that has contained dozens of mint copies of each adventure.  At this point, how would you even determine a "real" convention copy?  Non-near mint condition?

There are posts here on the Acaeum going back to 2003 talking about the same seller having copies of these books....

BTW, this is one reason why I never pay premiums for tournament modules...most are far, far too easy to copy or reprint, making it impossible to determine if you have an original or not.
