Don't know if anyone watches the "Mitchell and Webb Look" on TV (or the web), it was in truth a bit hit and miss, but there were a few comedy gems.

The official superbowl record is 3, held by quite a few players, but that record has only been kept since Superbowl XVII (huh???)  I'll have to rewatch my DVD but I believe Martin and White combined for five or six.

After his three sack game vs the G-men last night, Ware is within striking distance of Strahan's 22.5 sack season record (Ware now has 19). He might get those all vs the largely immobile Flacco next week....

BTW, how stupid is it that the football gurus don't go back, watch all the games on tape, and figure out official sack records for the 60s and 70s? (Sacks are only an official stat the last 25 years or so).  Harvey Martin had a 23 sack season in 1977 I believe; I think Deacon Jones had some insane amount in the 60s, with 26 one year  (unofficial of course). How hard would it be to have three members of the Hall of fame committee watch all the games and decide sack or no and come up with an official tally for certain players?

Now Gov. Granholm should be ousted as well. She has presided over the worst single state recession in more than 60 years. And recession is putting it politely - Michigan has been in a depression for at least two years.

Looks good.  But then again, many trailers look promising.  The best thing about the trailer is that it tells me at least they'll make the movie, and the more super hero movies there are, the better.  I can always hope that increased superhero exposure increases the value of my comic collection.

Bloody hellfire - I don't think many of us Brits can comprehend that kind of temperature. I get the hump when it gets down to 0 and it's time to cycle to work. I would guess that at -26 no amount of pedalling is going to keep you warm  

The weather has been pretty strange here lately.  Last week we had thunderstorms and a tornado briefly touched down just north of where I live.  We experienced sub-freezing temperatures a few days ago and with the rain everything was coated with a sheet of ice.  We even had a bit of snow.  And now today the temperature is supposed to be in the low 70's.  Pretty frickin' strange.

Had to stop in Chicago on the way home and was supposed to leave today, but it appears I will be here for an extra day. Gotta love this weather. At least XMas vacation started early for the kids!

Yesterday it was 65 and today will be similar.  Mild and muggy is superior to freezing cold any day in my book.  Snow may be pretty, but it's pretty painful for me.

In London tonight it is cold but clear with a cool breeze.  In an hour or two I am off to Borough Market where there will be carol singers and roasted Xmas goodies.  

From there it is a few steps to the Wheatsheaf
