Never throw away random pieces of plastic.  You never know who will pay money for them:

This one qualifies for both this thread and the laughable price. The seller obviously has been spending too much time on Amazon.

Not so much that the descriptions are laughable, but that the items themselves are laughable:

So they "were" in the shrink, but he opened them up to show everyone what was inside...  DOH!

Actually, it sounds like there was tape sealing the long edges of the boxed sets and they thought that was how they were sold, so they thought they were sealed.  Oopsie.

From the auction description:
Sealed with one strip of clear tape on each long side side.  This appears to be the original seal.

Dog ate the box. Yeah, that's the ticket!

I like the combination of acceptable condition and water damage with mold throughout the book.

"I did not go through this book. From the outside it looks worn."

(Check out the *other* pictures.  "Looks worn" might really mean that it looks like it has been worn as battle armor for six weeks during Operation Desert Storm.)

When I saw the shipping on this, I thought he was from Canada.

I humbly apologize to my fellow Canadians.   8O

Ahh he re-listed the item, with only slightly over the top shipping...

... the two books still aren't worth that much.

Hmm, I'm not sure why it is not replacing the item number with a ebay preview.

This was at one time probably posted in the Ridiculous Auction thread as for many moths this was listed for way more than what it should have been. However recently I noticed the price dropped (still too high in my opinion, nor do I even need what is being sold) but the new description is simply hilarious. Nothing like be cursed into buying something!

Let's try that. Hilarious. Greyhawk Ruins, in the SW, isn't worth $250, let alone chewed up lol. And that box set didn't even come with dice, so, he's just crazy on like 7 fronts. Guys like him do our hobby proud!!  PDT_Armataz_01_02

Wow, I didn't think that eBay would allow the use of such colorful language.
